Glenn Tyre, a
Lake County
native, with more than 35 years of Real Estate Brokerage Ownership and
community involvement has been actively involved in making Lake County
a great place to live, work and play.
In 1973, Tyre & Taylor Realty, Inc.
was formed by Glenn Tyre and Col. Royal Taylor.
The company specialized in selling citrus grove properties and
acreage until 1983, when the two devastating freezes in 1983 and 1985
caused a major loss of citrus grove land.
Emphasis was then placed on developing a full service real estate
office affiliated with a national franchise.
Years later, a
separate company was formed to promote and sell only commercial real
estate, Tyre
& Taylor Commercial Realty, Inc. – staffed with 3 full time associates.
The commercial company has been a leader in developing a stronger
Lake
County and City of Eustis economy.
By encouraging new commercial and industrial growth, a stronger
tax base is established that helps pay the cost for new schools and
other community services.
Glenn has served
on various Central Florida Economic Development Committees including the
Economic Development commission of Mid Florida, The Lake County
Industrial Authority Board and other grown and economic development
advisory groups.
Lake
County
is one of the fastest growing counties in the nation.
