J.W.
Hill & Associates is located in Live Oak, a town in Suwannee County in North Central Florida.
John worked for j. l. Todd Auction Company of
Rome, Georgia
as area sales representative in North Florida
before founding J.W. Hill & Associates in January of 2001.
John
is a native Suwannee
“County-ian.” After
graduation from Branford High School,
he attended Florida
State
University
and graduated in 1973 with a degree in industrial engineering.
From there he entered the army as a commissioned officer.
He graduated with honors from Infantry Officer’s
Basic & Advanced
School, Airborne, Ranger, Military Instructors
School and Flight School.
He served as a platoon leader, company executive officer, company
commander and offensive tactics instructor at the U.S. Army Infantry
School in Ft. Benning,
Georgia.
He is also a licensed teacher for the State of
Florida and taught Industrial Engineering & Drafting at
Suwannee
County High
School.
Other credits include: graduate of Ford Marketing Institute, the Florida
Real Estate Institute and the Florida Auctioneer
Academy.
He is an active member of National Auctioneers Association, the
Lake City Board of Realtors/North Florida Multiple Listing Services and
the Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce.
John is also the official auctioneer in this area for The United
Way and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and the Suwannee County Sheriff’s
Office. He is the current
president of the Live Oak Kiwanis Club and the Lt. Governor Elect of the
District 4 Kiwanis.
John
specializes in the sale of commercial properties and large-acre tracts,
including hunting/recreation properties, timber properties, farms &
ranches, and the procurement of development properties.
